Rescuers

“Rescuers” is the Zion Wednesday evening program. Children participate in music, games, and Bible lessons as they learn more about the Lord Jesus Christ and His world.

The Rescuers often participate in projects such as collecting canned goods for the community food bank, making cards for the sick or shut-in, and learning about the church’s sponsored missionaries. Each quarter the children study a new topic; during the Winter ‘06-’07, Rescuers are going through the children's Westminster Shorter Catechism.

VBS (Vacation Bible School)

Each summer Zion hosts a Vacation Bible School for children and youth, held at Winesburg Elementary school. This is a fun time of learning more about God’s word and proclaiming the gospel of salvation by grace alone through faith alone. It includes Bible teaching, music, crafts, games, and more. VBS is well attended by children from the general community and the church.

Christmas Program

At Christmas time children and youth are invited to participate in a musical program celebrating the birth of our Savior.
